About Our Yacht
Typically, people rent a yacht to entertain, escape the ordinary, and cruise beautiful destinations. Having said that, it’s no exaggeration to say that ‘The Roxy’s’ salon is a destination in itself.
Monte Fino yachts are noted for their much larger interior volume than other boats of a similar size, offering a surprising and often unrivaled level of spaciousness. Space is filled with a fine blend of curves, colors, and cherrywood. The cream and coffee-colored leather couches are curved. The 3-tiered cascading ceiling with its sculptured soffits are curved and accented by a wonderful wood pattern. Flowing forms are beautifully incorporated into many aspects of her interior design.
Everywhere you look is the warm glow of cherrywood. This cherrywood glow combines with a cascading white ceiling, which suggests the white blossoms of cherry trees or tranquil clouds. And as for the carpet, with its rippled pattern, it seems to flow like a running stream beneath your feet. The overall effect? ‘de Negose’ is invitingly warm while being a visual treat for the eyes.
Set within her becalming atmosphere, are three settees (to port and aft) set around a glass coffee tables. Together, a dozen of you and your guests can relax, unwind, and socialize within her welcoming presence. There is a dining area for 6 and country-galley with bar, forward to port.
Sky Deck
Two things come to mind when you ascend the cockpit staircase to the flybridge or Sky Deck: it’s unusually OPEN and it’s W-I-D-E. Here you see how the wide-body really pays off. Beyond this, because the flybridge superstructure is swept back, and there is no fiberglass hard-top, you get a grand view. An uninterpreted view for watching the setting sun and the stars above.
And as for the lounge area, it’s decked out with twin L-shaped settees with seating for 10.
As for the sky deck helm, it is set to centerline with two chairs: a captain’s chair (to centerline), and a passenger chair to starboard.
Exterior Profile
Talk about impressive.. as you approach the boat your heart skips a beat with her sheer magnitude and glory! something inside you says, “now this is going to be GREAT!”
She combines sharp lines, curves, a steeply raked bridge, and large tear-shaped salon windows. At 79.99ft (24.38m) long, and 20.01ft (6.1m) wide, and 4.30ft (1.31m) in the draft, ‘The Roxy’ is unusually spacious. Due to her wide-body (full-beam) design, ‘The Roxy’ foregoes amidship side-decks for an extra-wide salon and fly bridge.
All in all, judging her by well-kept teak, updated interior, and her modern, Italian-looking profile, most would never guess that she was built in 1999 — as she looks quite contemporary. She most definitely is a timeless yacht, as she has gracefully stood the test of time.
Large and Leisurely
‘The Roxy’ is accessed from the wide teak swim platform (which doubles as a tender dock), up the port side staircase, which lands on the large, generously shaded teak stern lounge. This large aft lounge area features a varnished built-in table with seating for ten. In addition, two loungers are set within the starboard and aft corners. What’s more, there’s much room for additional loose chairs for more guests.
Flanking the salon’s sliding glass panels are a flybridge staircase to port and a wet bar to starboard. Nearly the entire area is sheltered by the sky-bridge overhang. Allowing you and your guests to dine, socialize, and relax outdoors while seeking respite from the blazing sun or rain. This large stern lounge is a prelude to the equally large and remarkable interior behind the sliding stainless-steel glass doors. Sliding back, the doors open to reveal the wide-body salon that is in itself a piece of art. And this work of art runs the entire length of the superstructure.
Country-Galley
Set directly behind the helm station (to port) is the country-galley for family and friends to congregate before meals. The galley also strikes a balance between privacy while maintaining the vastness of the wide-body salon. As it creates a semi-private barrier between the helm and the port-side salon while allowing forward visibility (to the starboard side). Composed of copious amounts of cherry wood and dark marble tiles.
Here you will find an array of GE appliances, which include a full-sized, double-door refrigerator/freezer and a flush-mounted, four-burner cooktop with stainless steel oven underneath. Moreover, other appliances include a microwave (with exhaust fan), dishwasher, two basins stainless steel sink, garbage disposal, and ice maker. As well, there are numerous cabinets that ensure there’s a place for everything. And there’s ample granite countertop space for creating meals or plating dishes.
The curved, cherry wood bar is arranged for convenience, as cold drinks and appetizers are practically at your arm’s reach when enjoying the salon’s comforts or when dining at the dining table for 6 guests.
Wheel House
Forward and up a step from the salon, is the slightly raised and semi-private pilothouse equipped with two black leather pilot chairs and a cozy helm-station lounge. From the seating position, the helmsman has an excellent view forward and to the sides, making this the ideal all-weather steering station.
As for the comprehensively equipped dash, it includes a full array of recently upgraded navigation and communication electronics. To name a few, the dash contains a new dual SIMRAD GPS display, Raytheon Raychart monitor with JRC GPS differential receiver, and much more, all flush-mounted in an oversized dashboard along with the engine instruments.
Also worth noting are the controls for the Naiad stabilizers for eliminating boat roll and wave forces to keep you and your guests at ease as you are underway. As well, the stabilizer system increases fuel efficiency during long cruises (as they keep the yacht on a nearly straight course).
Powering ‘The Roxy’ is a pair of Detroit Diesel engines 12V92TA with a combined 2200 horsepower. The lounge provides a wonderful area for up to 4 guests and family to gather. She makes for an ideal place to watch the world roll by as you are underway. To starboard and port are twin pantograph doors that provide immediate access to the bow area of the yacht.
A Palatial Treasure Below Decks
Set directly behind the pilothouse, to starboard, is another piece of artwork in the form of a curved staircase. Now, according to myth, fairy tales, and dreams, stairs descend into realms of mystery, magic, and treasure. In this case, this sweeping staircase of cherrywood descends into a palatial “treasure” below decks: the full-beam master stateroom. Here you can sense the touch of the Far East. All the curves, colors, and cherrywood from the salon continue into the master stateroom which spans the full 20ft beam.
Set within an abundance of glass-smooth cherry woodwork is a center-line island, king-sized berth with twin nightstands, vanity to port, and large hanging lockers to starboard. The stylish king-size bed has a padded headboard flanked by two glass mirrors which expand the apparent size of the room. Details include a plush carpet, desk, walk-in closet, entertainment center, love-seat to port, pop-up vanity station, doors made of solid wood, hull-side windows and a Samsung 40-inch LED HD TV, and of course, copious amounts of hand-crafted cherry wood cabinets.
Increasing the wow factor of the stateroom is the palatial en-suite head: with separate stall shower, Jacuzzi tub, granite bulkheads, marble counter tops, and a sink which (like the staircase) is a fine piece of cherry wood craftsmanship. Bottom-line: this palatial treasure infused with a Far East feel is a haven of stillness. Respite from the world. A cozy, comfortable, stateroom cabin for you and your spouse.
Treat Your Guests
As you make your way forward from the master stateroom, the interior design from the salon continues on. To port is the first of 3 guest cabins. This cabin contains two single berths and ensuite head and shower (to aft) where marble tiles and cherry wood abound. Twin portholes bring in light and the berths’ headboard mounted mirrors reflect it (which makes the room seem longer). There’s ample storage and, of course, an entertainment center.
As you move below the deck, there is a similarly arranged guest room to starboard. However, it differs in that it contains a queen berth. It too includes an ensuite head and shower (to fore), plenty of storage, and a dash of Far East flair.
Situated further forward, is the palatial VIP Stateroom which features a centerline island queen-size berth set on a raised, two-tiered floor. Curved bulkheads, a lounge chair, and copious amounts of hand-crafted cabinetry surround the queen. The ensuite is similar to the stateroom, less the jacuzzi/shower combo. She is a wonderful treasure for your most important guests.
Crew Quarters
Situated all the way forward are the crew quarters (accessible outside, via the bow hatch with ladder access and steps). Such an arrangement retains the privacy of the guests from the crew. Found within the crew quarters are double stacked bunks with a private head, shower, and entertainment system. Surprisingly, the cherrywood theme carries on into this cabin. Providing your crew with a touch of luxury, too.
As for the captain, he can access his quarters from the aft, through the swim platform’s transom door. Typically, crew quarters are a mere afterthought. However, in this case, it is surprisingly nice. Like the yacht itself, it contains an ample amount of cherrywood, tons of storage (beneath the berth), a floor-to-ceiling hanging locker, and an ensuite head with a shower. Nearby, there’s the crew refrigerator and GE stacked washer/dryer and day head.
